What is the difference between a Watwet message and a Washwish message?
A watwet message will reach all your friends in your network on Watwet. You can even set your privacy level in such way that all your watwet messages are visible to everybody. Washwishes are like private messages; they reach only the friends you specify.
What does the @username do?
The @username is a way to reply to someone on Watwet. When you post a watwet preceeded with @username e.g. @mahmoud, then that watwet message will only arrive to that Watwet user by SMS and on his/her webpage, and will not reach by SMS to all your other friends. Your other friends however can view the watwet message on the web.
Can I attach photos to my watwets and washwishes?
Yes. You can do that by clicking on the "Add Photo" icon on the My Home page.
How can I update my Facebook status from Watwet?
First thing you need to do is to add the Watwet Facebook application that can be found on http://apps.facebook.com. You can update your Facebook status from the web and by SMS. From the web, all you need to do is to post a watwet while having the checkbox of "Update my Facebook Status" selected.
By SMS, all you need to do is to preceed your watwet message with #fb. Examples: #fb going to the cinema
Timeline
What is the Timeline?
The timeline is all the interactions happening in your network of friends. It shows watwets, washwishes, friendships and birthdays. Everything is shown based on chronological order, from the newest to the oldest.
What do the small icons do?
Some icons are there to indicate a type of message in the timeline. Your timeline. Here is a description of each of the icons.
If you click it on a watwet message, it replies with the @username. If you click it on a washwish message, it replies with another washwish message.
This means the message is not added to your favorites. If you click the icon, it will add it to favorite items.
This means the message is added to your favorites. If you click the icon, it will remove it to favorite items.
This means you are not receiving SMS notifications from this friend. If you click the icon, you will enable SMS notifications from this friend.
This means you are receiving SMS notifications from this friend. If you click the icon, you will disable SMS notifications from this friend.
If clicked, it will delete your message from the timeline, or remove it if it is not a message you wrote.
If you find anything offensive, or you want to report a user, you can click this icon to report to Watwet staff.
Blogging on Watwet
Can I use Watwet for micro-blogging?
Yes. Watwet in essence is a micro-blogging service. You can set your watwet messages to be visible to anyone. This way your watwet messages will appear on your Watwet page (http://watwet.com/username e.g. http://watwet.com/karim), and anyone (even if not a subscriber of Watwet) can view your watwets.
Can I show my watwet messages on my blog or website?
Yes. We have a ready set of badges that you can add to your blog or website, and allow your visitors to see your watwet messages. Go to http://watwet.com/badge and from there, you can specify the color and number of latest messages to show.
Can I customize the look and feel of my page on Watwet?
Yes. But you need to be quite an expert in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). We have a set of themes that you can use. In the future, we will introduce more customizations and themes for the look and feel for your page.
Facebook and Watwet
How do I add the Watwet Facebook application?
To add the Watwet Facebook application, please visit http://apps.facebook.com/watwets.
How can I use Watwet to update my Facebook status by SMS?
First, you need to add the Watwet application. Go to http://apps.facebook.com/watwet. After you have added Watwet Facebook application, you can start sending watwets that also update your Facebook status. When posting a watwet from web, make sure that the checkbox to update your Facebook status is selected. If you are sending your watwet by SMS, make sure it is preceeded by #fb followed by your watwet.

How can I update my Facebook status using Watwet from the web?
When you post a watwet message from the web, you have to select the "update my Facebook status" checkbox.
Can I upload photos to Facebook by MMS using Watwet?
Yes! Once you have added the Watwet Facebook application, all photos that you upload by MMS will appear in a special album on Facebook photos called "Watwet Photos". You can then re-arrange the photos uploaded in different albums.
How do I remove the Watwet Facebook application?
You can remove the Watwet Facebook application in the same way you remove applications on Facebook. You can read more about removing applications on Facebook here.

What are channels on Watwet?
Channels are a good way for anyone to start publishing a micro-blog with specialized content. Channels can cover virtually any content; technology, sports, news, celebrities, lifestyle and more.
Where can I find all channels on Watwet?
You can find all the channels on Watwet on this page http://watwet.com/channels. However, please note that this page includes only the approved and featured channels.
Watwet has signed up more than 18 radio stations, magazines and daily newspapers in Jordan to operate their own channels on Watwet. We have content from more than 10 international publishers and media companies around the world.
How do I subscribe to these channels on Watwet?
Subscribing to channels is very easy. From the web, you can subscribe to a channel from http://watwet.com/channels, by clicking on the subscribe button, or when you are on the channel page.
From the mobile, you can subscribe to a channel by sending the channel ID to the appropriate Watwet number.
How much do I pay to subscribe to channels on Watwet?
There are free channels and premium channels on Watwet. Premium Channels are indicated clearly that they are premium, and thus paid channels. If a channel is not indicated as a premium channel, then it is free. The amount you will pay for subscribing to a channel will vary from channel to channel. Please consult the page of the channel.
What happens when I subscribe to a channel?
When you subscribe to a channel, you will receive the Watwets of that channel both on the web and by SMS. As you might know by now, every user on Watwet has an allocation of 50-200 SMS notifications per week depending on the mobile network.
If you subscribe to a free channel, SMS notifications from that channel will be deducted from your weekly allocation. You can choose to have SMS notification disabled for any channel. SMS notifications from premium channels (channels that you pay to subscribe to) will not be deducted from your weekly SMS notifications allocation.
Can I stop SMS notifications from a channel?
Yes, you can stop SMS notifications from channels you subscribe to on Watwet.
Waticons
What are Waticons?
Think of Waticons as those cool and fun badges that we used to pin to our school bags. It tells something about you visually. You can choose up to three badges. You can change them as often as you want. We release new waticons every 8 weeks.

Can I upload my own Waticon?
No. You cannot upload Waticons. You can only choose from the Waticons collection that we offer.
Privacy
Are my watwets visible to anybody on the internet?
Yes. By default your watwets are visible to anybody on the internet. Most people like to share their watwets with the world, as they treat their watwet pages as a mini-blog in which they stream their life. Of course, washwishes are always NOT visible to others. Only you can view washwishes that were sent to you.
You can make your watwets visible ONLY to your friends. You can do that by going to the privacy settings http://watwet.com/settings/privacy.
Are my profile and my friends list visible to anybody on the internet?
Yes. By default they are visible to anybody on the internet. You can make them visible ONLY to your friends by changing the privacy settings http://watwet.com/settings/privacy.
Your mobile phone number and e-mail address is never disclosed to anyone regardless how your privacy settings are set.
