How do I receive watwets and washwishes from friends by SMS?
First of all, you have to add your mobile phone. Go to My Settings and then select the Mobile tab http://watwet.com/settings/mobile. After you have added your mobile, you need to verify ownership of that mobile by sending an SMS back to Watwet (takes 45 seconds!). Now you are ready to go.
You will receive SMS notifications of the watwet and washwish messages that your friends send to you. You can control the SMS notifications per friend by going to the friends page http://watwet.com/friends. You can also control that from your timeline.
How do post and receive watwets and washwishes by SMS?

Can I turn off and on SMS notifications?
Yes. You can turn off and on SMS notifications. You can do that from your mobile and from the web. To control SMS notifications from the web, go to http://watwet.com/mobile_settings. To control SMS notifications from the mobile, send an SMS message with the following text:
- #off This command turns SMS notifications off.
- #on This command turns SMS notifications on.
Can I turn off and on SMS notifications from a specific friend?
Yes. You can control the SMS notifications per friend by going to the friends page http://watwet.com/friends. You can also control that from your timeline. This is done from the web interface of Watwet.
This means you are not receiving SMS notifications from this friend. If you click the icon, you will enable SMS notifications from this friend.
This means you are receiving SMS notifications from this friend. If you click the icon, you will disable SMS notifications from this friend.
Can I receive SMS notifications in specific times of the day?
Yes. You can specify the times which time of the day you want to receive SMS notifications. Go to My Settings and then select the Mobile tab http://watwet.com/settings/mobile.
Adding your mobile
How can I add my mobile to Watwet?
All you need to do is to go to My Settings and then select the Mobile tab http://watwet.com/settings/mobile. From there, just select your mobile operator (if not in the list choose other), then type in your mobile phone number.
After that, you will receive an SMS message from Watwet asking you to verify your mobile phone number by replying back with a SMS message.
Once you reply by a SMS message, your mobile phone number will be verified. That's it.
Facebook by SMS
How do I add the Watwet Facebook application?
To add the Watwet Facebook application, please visit http://apps.facebook.com/watwets.
How can I use Watwet to update my Facebook status by SMS?
First, you need to add the Watwet application. Go to http://apps.facebook.com/watwet. After you have added Watwet Facebook application, you can start sending watwets that also update your Facebook status. When posting a watwet from web, make sure that the checkbox to update your Facebook status is selected. If you are sending your watwet by SMS, make sure it is preceeded by #fb followed by your watwet.

How can I update my Facebook status using Watwet from the web?
When you post a watwet message from the web, you have to select the "update my Facebook status" checkbox.
Can I upload photos to Facebook by MMS using Watwet?
Yes! Once you have added the Watwet Facebook application, all photos that you upload by MMS will appear in a special album on Facebook photos called "Watwet Photos". You can then re-arrange the photos uploaded in different albums.
How do I remove the Watwet Facebook application?
You can remove the Watwet Facebook application in the same way you remove applications on Facebook. You can read more about removing applications on Facebook here.
Supported Mobile Operators
Which mobile operators are fully supported on Watwet?
Up until this moment, the only mobile operator fully supported (posting and receiving by SMS and MMS) is Zain in Jordan. We are about to sign up more mobile operators in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. We are already testing with Mobily in KSA. So please stay tuned for more.
The good news is that you can still use Watwet even if you are outside Jordan from anywhere in the world. You can add your mobile, and you will receive watwet and washwish messages that your friends post on your mobile via SMS. You can also post by SMS. You will be given an allocation of 50 SMS notifications per week, and you would need to post to our UK number. You may incur international SMS charges, but there is no extra charges by Watwet.
If you are on a fully supported mobile operator, you will be given an allocation of 250 SMS notifications per week and you will be able to post to a local number; thus no international SMS charges.
SMS commands on Watwet
What are the most important mobile commands that I can use by sending SMS to the Watwet short code?
#off This command turns SMS notifications off.
#on This command turns SMS notifications on.
#username message This command allows you to send a private message to one user only. Example: #ahmad I am watching star academy on LBC

#help This command will send you an SMS reminding you of the available commands.

Charges
How much does it cost to receive SMS notifications from Watwet
Nothing. Receiving SMS notifications from Watwet is free. In some countries, mobile operators charge for receiving SMS messages, in which case there is no additional charges applied.
How much do I pay for posting watwet and washwish messages by SMS
If you are using the Zain mobile network in Jordan, then it costs 3 piasters per SMS message. An SMS message is 160 characters. This is the regular charge of an SMS messages. There are no extra charges.
If you are not on Zain mobile network in Jordan, you will need to post your watwet and washwish messages to our UK number. You will be charged the regular charges for international SMS messages by your mobile operator. There are no extra charges.

- Mobily: SMS is FREE - MMS is FREE
- International: Depending on your service provider and your text plan. Watwet does not charge any extras.
Zain Jordan Subscribers
MMS is not working on my phone. What shall I do to configure MMS on my phone?
Please send a short message SMS with the word MMS to the number 95000, and Zain will send you the configurations for MMS
My phone is not supported by Zain automatic configuration through 95000. How can I set my phone to use MMS manually?
